Basıri’s Joke Named “Benginame”

Basiri (b. 1466 - d. 1534-35) was a witty poet who had various jokes. This could be seen in a few Turkish poems of him and in some of biographical books. Benginame shows Basiri’s humour and contains a lot of food names. In this work as a recently found tractate named Benginame has been transcribed to Latin alphapet, and it has been added some different notes about food names in Benginame.
