EVALUATİON OF NEW GENERATİON JOURNALİSM EDUCATİON İN THE CONTEXT OF EMPLOYMENT ADVANTAGE OF JOURNALİSM DEPARTMENT STUDENTS

Abstract
Today, with the new communication technologies, the inevitable transformation in the media requires the transformation of the journalist identity and the concept of the journalist is reshaped. The success of journalists in a changing journalism environment is compatible with a new generation of journalism that will enable them to adapt to the dynamics of the era. Being research oriented, being expert in data analysis, being knowledgeable about economics, law and politics, having ability to understand and expressing, ability of thinking fast and decision making, having professional ethics, technological competence, using time effectively, stress to be able to manage, to manage the crisis, to have a sense of team spirit, to follow the agenda has critical principles. In this study, it is aimed to evaluate the new generation journalism education and employment program in the context of journalism department graduates' advantage of employment and the contribution of education to journalist candidates to be a new generation journalist will be determined. The study was conducted with a data collection scale based on semi-structured in-depth interview method which is one of the qualitative research techniques. The descriptive approach was used to evaluate the data obtained. In this research, semi-structured question scale which is directed to the students of Izmir offices of İŞKUR and Press Advertisements Agency and ten journalism students who were recruited within the scope of the training, organized in cooperation with the new generation journalism education and employment program, and in-depth interview technique were used.
