THE EFFECT OF ORGANİZATİONAL SOCİALİSM ON ORGANİZATİONAL IDENTIFICATION: A RESEARCH IN BANKING SECTOR

Abstract
The most basic objectives of the enterprises are to carry their efficiency levels to the highest level and to continue their existence by compete in the sector. One of the most important ways to achieve these goals is to ensure that employees work at high performance levels. Many organizational issues stand in front of executives to ensure that employees perform well. Two of these organizational issues, organizational socialization, constitute the independent variable of our research and organizational identification is the independent variable. Organizational socialization briefly refers to the process by which new begginer to learn both working methods and gain knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviors that enable them to work in harmony with other employees. Organizational identification refers to the fact that the personnel establishes a relationship of belonging with the institution they work for and feels the success of institution as its own success and the failures of institution as its own failure. In this study, it has been tried to determine whether organizational socialization status of employees has a role in determining the levels of organizational identification. In order to make this determination, a survey was conducted on the personnel working in the bank enterprises located in the city center of Elazığ. The data obtained from these surveys were then subjected to correlation and regression analysis in SPSS program. Through these analyzes, it was investigated whether each of the five sub-dimensions of organizational socialization had an effect on organizational identification. As a result of the analyzes, it has been concluded that all five sub-dimensions of organizational socialization have positive and meaningful effects on organizational identification.
